Pair of light brown silk satin shoes, about 1780-1800. Labelled 'John Woodward Maker White Chapel Liverpool'. Soled (and inside of heel) with leather. Fairly pointed toes, with narrow (tapering) curved heels. Flaps at front for a buckle. Silver embroidered floral design on front. Lined with plain weave linen and interlined with leather.
