ss FORT ROUILLE (7133gt) : Built 1943 by United Shipyards, Montreal for Britain's Ministry of War Transport, but managed by Mitchell, Cotts & Co., of London - Sun Shipping Co. from 1946 -1948 - Sold to Ivor Shipping Co (Quebec SS Lines), Montreal, and renamed IVOR RITA. The company transferred to London in 1951 but the ship's name was retained. -1956 - Sold to Novor Shipping Co, London (managers - Chandris Ltd) and renamed NOVOR RITA. -1958 - Acquired by Maristrella Navegacion S.A., Piraeus (still managed by Chandris) and renamed RITA. On 1st July 1960 she became stranded and broke in two off Goa on a voyage from Colombo to Mormugao.
