Figure group of a cow and calf, grey/ white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze on an irregular egg shaped plinth with a bright gilt line round. Cow behind facing left and calf in foreground facing right standing on rough green/ brown ground, the cow with her front hooves either side of a small blue stream flowing from back to front. Cow, white with large black spots, pink muzzle and udder, with tail across back, head and neck turned inwards towards the calf. Calf, white with rust spots, with neck stretched, head raised and mouth slightly open.
