Embroidered birthday postcard sent by W. Clifford Morgan of Cardiff to his sister Irene during the First World War. Handwritten message on back: 'Irene / Wishing you many happy returns of the day / From Your Loving Brother Cliff'. In November 1914 he was serving in the 4th Public Schools Battalion Royal Fusiliers.
