Cup and saucer

Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, ear-shaped loop handle; the exterior sides of the cup covered with a blue ground over which has been painted an elaborate gilt decoration creating a mesh-like pattern with blue dots showing through, gilt leaves around the lower body, a raised gilt foliate band around the upper body, to either side of the exterior body are reserved two white oval panels painted in polychrome enamels with groups of fruit, the panels enclosed by borders of stylized flower heads in gilt, gilt bands around the foot-rim and lip-rim, a large gilt dot to the interior bottom of the cup, the handle painted gilt. A chip to the lip-rim. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides; the interior of the saucer covered with a blue ground over which has been painted an elaborate gilt decoration creating a mesh-like pattern with blue dots showing through , a raised gilt foliate band around the upper sides of the well, to the centre of the well is reserved a white oval panel painted in polychrome enamels with a group of fruit, the panel enclosed by a border of stylized flower heads, gilt bands around the foot-rim and rim.
