Corset
Ribbon corset, 1900-10. Made from wide linen ribbon and plain white linen. It has flat steel bones on the side seams, centre front and centre back. Back lacing. Suspenders at front. Worn in Aberystwyth.
This corset reflects the growing need for women to have more freedom of movement while still wanting to constrict their waists.
