Cream jug
Cream jug, soft-paste porcelain; rectangular with a straight sided foot rim curving into rounded sides to shoulder, and concave curve to lip, with a wide elongated spout; high loop handle with a leaf moulded thumb spur and double ridge moulding in lower part of handle; transfer-printed and filled in enamels, with the 'Kakiemon' pattern, - an asymmetric design of red and yellow flowers, green, turquoise and over-glaze blue foliage, and insects and birds; gilt band to foot rim and lip, gilt detail inside and below spout, and to handle.
