Account Book - Andrew Humphreys, Blacksmith at Llawr-y-Glyn Smithy. [1865-1870]
A vivid picture of his life and work. The variety of his work for the farmers of the rural mountainous was enormous. Work done for one customer alone included making new horse shoes and removing old ones, a plough share, nails and even mending an umbrella. He made pig rings, dung hooks, pikles, pitchmarks for sheep, gates, field rollers, and a range of domestic fittings and household utensils such as candlesticks, pots and door knockers.
