Pattern - other (misc)
A fabricated pattern of a break, made from wood, possibly for a wagon or engine.
On the pattern is the inscription ‘Pen yr Orsedd Slate Quarry’, showing that it belonged to Pen yr Orsedd Quarry, Dyffryn Nantlle. As the quarry did not have its own foundry the pattern would have been used in a local foundry.
