Site Name: Ford Farm, Langstone
Notes: The tankard was found 12.8m away from two bronze vessels and a wine strainer and was initially reported as a possible treasure case (07.24). Following a site investigation involving the survey and excavation of two test pits over the findsots the tankard was considered not to be treasure under the definition of the Treasure ACt 1996. The item was disclaimed by HM Coroner for Gwent and the tankard was acquired as a private purchase.
