Cup and saucer

Large cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy, slightly yellow tinged translucency; the cup, standing on a straight sided foot rim, indented immediately above, rounded sides, flaring and ending with an everted lip rim, the rim being of warped appearance; plain loop handle; the saucer, standing on a tapering foot rim, with rounded spreading sides; the cup painted with an apple-green ground border reserved with scrolling panels painted with alternating pink roses and blue convolvuluses, the inside of the cup painted with three convolvulus sprigs and one pink rosebud; the saucer painted in the centre with a blue convolvulus surrounded by the same apple-green border; gilded detailing of feathering and small fleur de lys to the resrved panels, gilt line surmounting border on cup and saucer; chocolate banding to foot rim and lip rim of cup and to saucer rim; chocolate line and small fleur de lys to upper side of handle.
