Woollen canvas ground, embroidered with coloured silks in cross and various flat stitches. Narrow border of floral wavy stem. Divided into two compartments horizontally by a wavy line. In first: verse addressed to parents, flanked by vertical interwoven wavy lines. In second: naturalistic thatched cottage motif, with 1772 on gable, two beehives with bees and two trees in fenced garden. Below: maker's inscription.
