Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading foot-rim, an incised ring to the centre of the base, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, raised beak spout, loop handle with raised thumb-spur; transfer-printed in blue with to the body the 'Cows crossing a stream' pattern, in the foreground a male figure drives three cattle across a stream by the side of a bridge, in the background a rural landscape of a mill, other buildings and trees, wide border to the exterior and interior neck and spout of vine leaves and clusters of fruit issuing scrolling tendrils against a blue ground, running border to the handle of flowers and foliage.
