Plate; lobed rim consisting of six large and six small lobes. Gilt rim with scalloped inner edge. Sides of plate relief moulded with C-scrolls and flowers, with six small panels painted in polychrome enamels with flowers and fruit. In centre a figure of the brown Indian dove, painted in enamel colours, standing on a rock, with grasses behind, after George Edwards, A Natural History of Uncommon Birds, (1743-51) pl.76.
