Spill-vase, earthenware, standing on a spreading waisted stepped foot, cylindrical body with raised bands to the top and bottom of the body; the decoration reserved against a black enamel ground so that the red earthenware body is revealed, this then transfer-printed in black with to one side of the body the head and shoulders of a female figure, and to the other side a group of winged cupids with torches and arrows, egg and dart border to the foot-rim, border to the upper and lower parts of the main body of a band of eye-like shapes issuing anthemions within semicircular shapes with pendant lines between them, chevron border to the interior lip-rim.
