Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical sides, domed cover with to the top a nipple-topped finial with a beaded edge; the lower exterior body of the sucrier and the top of the cover covered with a light brown ground in imitation of the grain of wood, against which are reserved two oval panels finely painted in black monochrome with miniature landscapes showing buildings on the banks of rivers, to the exterior lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover a running border of miniature forget-me-nots between two gilt lines, a gilt edge to the rim of the cover, the top of the finial painted gilt, the beading painted green.
