PEMBROKESHIRE LASS Going Out of Naples (painting)

The schooner Pembrokeshire Lass (132 gross tons) was built at Milford Haven in 1840 for local shipowner William Davies. She was typical of hundreds of similar vessels that traded coastwise and deep-sea in the last century. Sold to David Flynn of Cork in 1875, she was wrecked on a beach near Southport on 28 May 1877. Adeiladwyd y sgwner Pembrokeshire Lass yn Aberdaugleddau ym 1840 ar gyfer William Davies, perchennog llongau lleol. Mae'n enghraifft nodweddiadol o gannoedd o longau tebyg a fasnachai ar hyd yr arfordir a'r moroedd mawr yn y ganrif ddiwethaf.
