Love letter
Lover's letter to his sweetheart teminating their relationship.
*The lover's mother made her son compose this sad letter after she had discovered that the girl in question was an unmarried mother - such was the influence some Victorian mothers exerted on their sons! Edmund Thomas thereafter remained a bachelor. This document is in the hand of his brother, David - the father of Mrs Rachel A. James, the donor. [Rhondda] [c.1880-1890]
