CALON (Swansea Bay University Health Board’s LGBT+ and Allies Staff Network) (Calon “aims to create a safe space and a community for likeminded colleagues to come together. Calon is a celebration of LGBT+ diversity and looks to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues, working with the Health Board to build a more inclusive place for the benefit of our staff and patients” (from Calon website).)
Gildan

T-shirt ’70 Years of the NHS 1948-2018’. Worn at Pride Cymru, August 2018, by Mitch Jones one of the founders of the Calon Network who stated that “I co-founded Calon, Swansea Bay UHB’s LGBTQ+ & Allies Staff Network, because I wanted to create a more inclusive place for staff, patients, and service users. I had struggled to accept that I was gay and it was only through meeting LGBTQ+ colleagues that I felt able to come out; I wanted other people to also feel supported. Calon was founded in 2016 during LGBT History Month and the network has worked diligently to increase the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, raise awareness of the difficulties that LGBTQ+ people face, and educate the organisation in relation to LGBTQ+ inclusivity”.

Short-sleeved T-shirt made from continuous tube of white cotton jersey fabric (no side seams). All machine made. Front has a transfer print of a large 70 printed in rainbow colours. Below is the text (in black): YEARS / OF THE NHS and the dates 1948 - 2018 in blue print.
