A Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1959, received from Mrs Marged Miles of Bridgend, containing details of historic sayings on the subjects of weather, descriptive words and their meanings, animals, puzzles and events in the area of Rhydycymerau, Carmarthenshire. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
