Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Dessert dish, square, soft-paste porcelain, clear white translucency, grey-green tinge to the lustrous glaze, especially at the foot, minor flaws including pin-holes and grit-specks; standing on a shallow foot rim, everted rim, moulded with gently curved sides, lobed corners with the standard 'Nantgarw moulding of C-scrolls, ribbon-tied foliage wreaths, and florets. The centre painted with a pink rose with foliage and a single bud issuing from a shallow two-handled krater in green enamel, detailed in stippled gilding.
