Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Consists of a fitted rectangular box of burr walnut inlaid with brass. The hinged lip has a brass shield with initials B.M. inlaid in centre. The compartments of the upper stage contain 12 glass bottles and boxes, the screw-on covers and push-on lids, being silver engraved and initialled B.M. and hallmarked London 1860. In addition there are a pen kife, button hook, needlework stiletto, cork-screw and tweezers (broken), steel bladed with handles of mother-of-pearl. There is space also for scissors which are missing. A spring button on the left hand edge of the upper stage releases a drawer in the right hand side of the box. A further drawer pulls out from the bottom of the box. This has compartments for watch, jewellery etc.
