Black serge tail coat, fully lined. Two decorative buttons at back. Four buttons on front. Worn by Thomas Radcliffe of St Fagans when he worked as a butler in Cornwall.
Thomas Radcliffe served with the 8th Battalion Somerset Light Infantry during the First World War (regimental number 15021). He was killed in action on 25 September 1915.
