Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'H.R.H. The Prince of Wales visiting the Tomb of Washington', showing an outdoors scene with groups of figures standing in front of a tomb surrounded by trees and with further monuments around about, to the bottom of the scene is the inscription "H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES / VISITING THE TOMB OF WASHINGTON" printed on a scrolled panel, the print enclosed by a narrow circular line border. The glaze slightly crazed, the flange chipped.
