Teapot, cover and stand, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; teapot standing on a rectangular shaped foot rim, curved sides to shoulder, concave curve to a slightly waved lip; wide curved spout, slightly flared at lip; loop handle with pointed terminal; rectangular plateau cover, with a round pointed finial; the stand on a rectangular shaped foot rim, curved spreading sides with rounded corners; painted with set pattern 237; a dark underglaze blue and gilt border with emerging pale underglaze blue gilded loops, around shoulder of teapot and edges of stand and cover, with gilt sprigs towards the centre; plain gilt band to rim and lip, and gilt decoration to spout, handle, and finial.
