Jug, earthenware, octagonal inset base, octagonal pear-shaped body, plain beak spout, squared-shouldered wish-bone handle with three-lobed lower terminal; transfer-printed in flow blue with to the sides of the body a chinoiserie-style scene showing a Chinese junk on an expanse of water, and a number of pagodas, the scene enclosed by trees and shrubs, border to the interior and exterior lip-rim and spout of c-scrolls on a blue ground issuing sprays of flowers and foliage, scattered foliage to the handle.
