Dish
This dish and ewer set were commissioned by Sir Samuel Rush Meyrick (1783-1848), a collector and scholar of mediaeval arms and armour. The chasing on the dish is adapted from that on four mediaeval rose-water dishes, then in Meyrick's collection and now at the British Museum.
