Of cottage type
This primitive chair once belonged to Daniel Rowland (1713-90), Llangeitho, Cardiganshire. Daniel Rowland was one of the main figures of the Methodist Revival in Wales. He was a young Anglican curate when he was converted by Griffith Jones in 1735. He became one of the greatest preachers of the century and made Llangeitho a 'Methodist Mecca'.
