Sampler
Canvas, embroidered with coloured wools and silks in cross stitch. Divided horizontally into three compartments. In the first compartment, in two rows commencing with a cross, are letters of the alphabet and numerals to 10; in the second, in three rows commencing with a cross, are Italic capital letters of the alphabet and the name "Julie Coud Yser"; the third is filled with flowering plants in pots, a monstrance within a floral arch, two candlesticks with candles, the Sacred Trigram I.H.S. beneath a cross, a crowned monogram, heart and bird.
