Teapot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, globular body, double c-scroll handle, up-turned spout, slightly domed cover with acorn finial and associateed stem; decorated in polychrome enamels, on one side with a bird with a purple front, orange head and black wings perching on a branch, opposite a bird with a red and white breast and black wings perching on a branch, two srigs eitherside of handle, one to spout, purple twisted foliate border around shoulders, gilding to handle and spout, gilt border to foot rim and around lip, cover decorated with a bird with a red breast and two sprigs, border of purple twisted foliage to rim, gilding to acorn.
