Patchwork bedcover
Double-sided crazy patchwork bedcover made from irregular pieces of worsted and flannel in various patterned, striped and plain weave. One of the red twill fabric appears to have cellulosic warps (?). Seams decorated with hand-stitched herringbone stitches using different threads, including yellow and red. Black striped flannel binding along edges. Almost all flannel petticoat fabric (red/black, grey/black/red, plain twill). Given as a wedding gift by the owner of Beulah Woollen Mill, Brecknockshire, in the 1880s.
