Plate, hybrid-paste porcelain, circular shape with squared-off foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim notched; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a design of a group of fruit with leaves attached resting on a pink marble slab against a grey background, to the left side of the design is the inscription "Baxter / 1809" in grey, a gilt border to the sides of the well, an elaborate border in gilt to the rim of anthemions interspersed with scrolling foliage, a gilt edge to the outer rim.
