Wedding dress skirt

Wedding dress of ivory satin consisting of separate skirt and bodice. Made by Phillips & Evans, Merthyr Tydifil. Worn by Jennet Dunn (nee Morgan) on her wedding at St Davids, Groesfaen, 1879. Skirt has back waist fastening. Front panel is ruched and smocked. Hem is pleated. Panel bordered with lace and flowers which continues around long train. Inside hem has pleated organdie frill edged with lace. Tain lined with fleecy domette.
