Seal impression: Royal
Reverse. The king on horse-back to sinister, the chain-mail represented (on original impressions) by trellis-work, the ribands behind the helmet are joined together and end in a circular knob; in the king’s left hand a shield (more angular at top than in R28 - 25.384/199) and having a projection in centre from top to bottom to throw off the force of a bow; in his right hand a long lance (not the sword of R 28) culminating in a broad point, and bearing a pennon charged with a Maltese cross, and from which issue two wavy streamers.
