Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Floral shirt, part of a two piece scrubs set. Made from printed cotton furnishing fabric, machine sewn. Given by volunteers to Ty Doctor surgery, Nefyn, during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Short-sleeved shirt made from printed sateen-woven fabric. The print is of pink roses against a black background. The shirt has a V-neck opening and two patch pockets at the hip. The fabric used for the patches is applied at 90° to the fabric used on the main part of the shirt. There are 12cm long slits at each lower side seam. Hems and seams are machine-stitched using black thread. Single turn-backs are secured with zig-zag stitches using white thread. 6cm-wide facing to reinforce neck-opening. Letter 'M' machine-embroidered onto white herringbone cotton tape which has been stitched to facing at inner neck.
