Roman samian plate
Samian plate sherd, form Dr18 A dark red body sherd of Southern Gaulish ware with a dark and fairly glossy slip. Rather an everted and curved wall. A neat round hole is cut in the side (3-4mm in diam) and is seemingly holed from the inside out. Not a typical rivet hole repair.
