Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading foot with shell-like moulding and shaped foot-rim, bulbous lower body moulded in the form of a shell, concave neck with flaring shaped lip-rim, wide beak spout, scrolled foliate-moulded loop handle with raised thumb-spur; the exterior body, interior neck, spout and handle covered with a pale pink lustre, this then transfer-printed in black with to one side of the exterior neck a hunting scene showing a male figure firing a gun and a dog, below the scene is the inscription "SNIPE SHOOTING", to the other side of the exterior neck is a hunting scene showing hounds leaping over a fence with below the inscription "Coursing", to either side of the interior neck a small scene showing a dead hare with birds to either side, a foliate border to the handle, darker pink lustre bands around the foot-rim, lip-rim and spout.
