Swatch of tweed
Swatches of tweed held in card top which is covered in red imitation leather (thin plastic with textured surface) and has printed inscription in gold. The edges of the plastic are heat-sealed. Each fabric has small self-adhesive label on reverse with specifications of type, width and weight. There are biro marks on some of these.
Red card top has yellow rope attachment for hanging (cellulosic core covered with silk? fibre). The rope is fed through 2 copper alloy grommets which are set into the card and probably is held in place with knots on the inside.
