Pilot Boats ANITA v. J.N. KNAPP, 1875 (print/ptg)
Payne, Edward (Payne was Crawshay's agent. On the 1871 and 1881 census he is recorded as living in the Glamorganshie Canal offices at Canal Wharf West, Cardiff.)
Print showing re-run of a race between pilot cutters the ANITA (owned by Jonathan Lewis) of Cardiff and the J.N. KNAPP (captained by Capt. Davies) of Newport on 5th Oct. 1875. The ANITA is shown in the foreground with the J.N. KANPP behind. The Cardiff umpire was Edward Payne who was on the paddle steamer shown at right. Print on board of original painting that has been painted over in watercolour.
