Oven
Clay oven.
Different means were employed to cook foods in the past and many of these were incorporated into the structure of the building itself and especially the fireplace where most cooking took place. Bread ovens were often built into the sides or back of the inglenook. In some parts of Wales, small hand-made clay ovens, imported from north Devon, were built into the fireplace.
