Circular gilt button with hook on rear. On the face of the button is a shield, which is split in four. On the left are the shields of London and Southampton. On the right are the shields of Salisbury, Winchester and Portsmouth, which consists of a six pointed 'estoile' above a crescent moon, the badge of Richard Coeur de Lion, creator of the Naval base.
