Bowl, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, shallow curving sides, around the exterior upper body a basketwork pattern divided into twelve divisions by short raised ribs, to either side of the body twin horizontal scrolled loop handles, round domed cover with around the sides a moulded basketwork pattern divided into twelve divisions by short raised ribs, to the top of the cover a pear finial with two leaves and a stem; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior sides of the bowl and the top of the cover scattered sprays and sprigs of naturalistic flowers, chocolate edges to the lip-rim of the bowl and the rim of the cover, the handles picked out in puce, the pear finial painted in pink, yellow, black and green. The bowl broken and repaired, the lip-rim of the bowl and the rim of the cover chipped.
