Ore Wharf (Dowlais Wharf), Roath Dock, Cardiff. The Norwegian-owned S.S. OTTA is discharging a cargo of iron ore into steel hopper wagons for East Moors Works and into wooden Rhymney Railway wagons for Dowlais Works. Three shunting horses stand in the middle distance. The stack of flat-bottom rails on the left, probably rolled at Dowlais Works, are awaiting export.
