Envelope addressed to Kate Williams Evans at her family home of Bod Gwilym, Llansantffraid. Sent from Holloway prison. Marked 1st June 1912. Has notes added in pencil concerning Kate's arrest in March 1912. Marked "Very Precious" and used by Kate to keep her charge sheet from Cannon Row Police Station
Kate Williams Evans, born in Montgomeryshire in 1866, was sentenced to 2 months hard labour for malicious damage, having smashed a window in a government building in London. She served 54 days in Holloway Prison in March-April 1912, during which she went on hunger strike
