S.S. ANNE THOMAS of Cardiff (painting)

Witham, Joseph (Born 1832 in Bognor Regis, the son of a cabinet maker. He initially earned his living as a mariner and his early love of the sea remained with the artist throughout his life.)

The ANNE THOMAS was the second vessel built to the order of Evan Thomas, Radcliffe & Co. Ltd., Cardiff, where the vessel was registered. She was completed in 1882 at Palmers' Shipbuilding & Iron Co.
