Black fan 'The Queer Emporium' and 'Welsh Ballroom Community' fan. Collected as part of the Ours to Tell project 2023/2024.

Black hand held folding fan made with 13 wooden sticks, squared off at the upper end. The outer guard sticks are slightly thicker and shaped. The other 11 sticks are all of the same width and don't narrow towards the top. The wood is lacquered with black paint. There is a white metal rivet holding the sticks together. A synthetic fabric leaf has been adhered to the sticks. The edges are unfinished/raw. The fabric is white but has been printed in black all over, leaving only the design and lettering in white. The design shows the logo of 'The Queer Emporium' set within a thin circle on the proper right, an 'X' in the centre and WELSH BALLROOM COMMUNITY on the proper left.
