Cabinet cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain, clear white translucency, lustrous glaze with few blemishes. Cup with stepped foot, and cylindrical body with pronounced flared lip, high loop handle with two snakes's head terminals; saucer with shallow foot rim, recessed centre and spreading rim. The cup decorated with a gilt line at the foot and lip, the lower part painted on each side with a bouquet of pink roses and other garden flowers, below a waved gilt line, green ground border above, reserved with two rectangular panels of flowers within elaborate cartouches in raised gilding; inside the lip a band of elaborate gilding comprising folliate scrolls and oeil de perdrix and trellis panels; the saucer with a green ground rim, reserved with three rectangular panels of garden flowers within cartouches of raised gilding, and edged with a waved gilt line, the centre painted with a bouquet of garden flowers, gilt line to foot and lip.
