Vase, earthenware, thistle-shaped, standing on a spreading foot-rim, bulbous lower body topped by cylindrical sides flaring out to a slightly everted lip-rim; transfer-printed in black with to the upper body two oriental scenes showing oriental buidings and trees standing on outcrops of land in the midst of expanses of water, the lower body transfer-printed with a butterfly, a group of shells, and a bunch of grapes, heart and loop dentil border to the exterior lip-rim, two sprays of flowers and foliage to the interior of the vase, a large chip missing from the rim.
