Patch badge 'ECMC' (European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs). The ECMC was founded in 1974, as part of the wider process of linking and networking which took place among European and USA leather clubs at the end of the 1960s.

Machine embroidered badge of white design and lettering on black woven ground. Lettering reads: ECMC above a pair of shaking hands. Edges bound with white thread. All threads and ground fabric made from synthetic fibre. Badge is rectangluar (wider than it is high), but the upper edge is curved/arched out/upwards. The inscription follows the shape of the arch. The back of the badge is lined in white fabric, which has, in turn, been coated with a clear synthetic film. This film may be heat sensitive and be designed for ironing the badge onto a new backing, eg. the sleeve of a coat.
