Built 1942 as EMPIRE PRINCE by Caledon Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd., Dundee, for MoWT, managed by West Wales Steamship Co (Gibbs & Co.), Cardiff. 1945 – Sold to Clan Line Ltd., and renamed CLAN ANGUS, 1956 – Transferred (chartered?) to Bullard King & Co Ltd., and renamed UMKUZI for the East African run. 1959 – Returned to Clan Line and reverted to CLAN ANGUS.
